Chemical Importer — Fast-Track DPL Before Shipment Arrival
Client: Chemical trading company, Karachi
Challenge: The client had a 40-foot container of imported solvents departing Singapore in 8 weeks. They had no DPL license and no licensed storage facility. Without both in place, customs would not release the shipment — and demurrage charges would mount daily.
Our Solution: We arranged a DPL-ready rental godown in SITE Industrial Area within 5 days, with a registered tenancy agreement. We filed the Form M application immediately, pursued all NOCs in parallel, and prepared MSDS for the imported chemicals with exact purity (toluene 99.8%, xylene 99%, MEK 99.7%).
Result: License granted 6 weeks after engagement. Shipment cleared customs without demurrage. Client now uses our renewal tracking and has expanded to a second licensed facility.

Paint Manufacturer — Failed Inspection Recovery
Client: Universal Coating (paint & coatings manufacturer)
Challenge: The client had engaged a local contractor who built their solvent storage godown but failed the Explosives Department inspection twice — wrong sump depth, ventilators without copper-mesh gauge, and door opening inward instead of outward. Operations were on hold for 4 months.
Our Solution: We took over with full construction responsibility. Demolished the non-compliant portions, rebuilt the sump to 2-foot depth, replaced ventilators with proper copper-mesh gauge units 6 inches above ground and 1 foot below roof, and installed an outward-opening G.I. sheet door. Updated MSDS for all stored solvents and refiled with the Explosives Department.

Industrial Manufacturer — Form L Bulk Tank Installation
Client: Lucky Core Industries
Challenge: The client was expanding production and needed bulk solvent storage — three 25,000-litre above-ground tanks. Required Form L license, full engineering drawings, bunding design, fire safety system, and all government approvals.
Our Solution: Our engineering team designed the tank farm with secondary containment sized to 110% of the largest tank, foam-water fire suppression, explosion-proof breathers, and full earthing systems. Submitted certified engineering layouts to the Explosives Department with manufacturer test certificates and complete MSDS for all stored products. Coordinated EPA and Civil Defence NOCs.
Result: Form L license granted within 5 months. Tank farm operational. Annual renewals and integrity inspections handled through our compliance service.

Pharmaceutical Company — Multi-Solvent DPL Storage
Client: Martin Dow
Challenge: The pharmaceutical client needed DPL coverage for multiple alcohol-based and flammable solvents used in formulation — ethanol 95%, methanol 99.9%, IPA 99%, acetone 99.5%, and several others. Each chemical required separate MSDS documentation at exact purity, with capacities tied to production requirements.
Our Solution: Our MSDS specialist prepared GHS-compliant 16-section data sheets for every product at exact purity. The chemical schedule on the license was matched to projected annual usage with a 20% safety buffer — neither under-licensed nor over-paying treasury fees.
